A Bit About Me
Hi there! I’m a graduate student at George Mason University, currently in my third year of the Master of Social Work program, specializing in children, youth, and families. I am thrilled to be interning at Axis Mundi, where I have the privilege of supporting children, teens, and families in a space that celebrates and embraces neurodiversity, mental health, and holistic wellness.

Mental health is more than just my profession; it’s personal. Having navigated my own journey with anxiety and depression, and as a primary caregiver and advocate for a family member with bipolar disorder, I know firsthand both the challenges and the resilience that come with mental health struggles. I also have a neurodivergent child, and in our home, we believe his neurodivergence is his superpower! He has what we lovingly call a “racecar brain with bicycle brakes.” With the right support and early intervention, he is now thriving as a high schooler. Walking that advocacy journey to make sure he was identified and received the services he needed showed me just how transformative early intervention can be, not only for a child, but for their whole family.

Before joining Axis Mundi, I interned as a medical social worker with Blue Ridge Hospice. That sacred work of supporting individuals and families through dying, grief, and caregiving taught me the incredible power of presence. Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is simply sit with someone, listen, and hold space.
I believe that every person and family has unique strengths, challenges, and possibilities. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where all of it is welcomed. I feel especially passionate about supporting families who are juggling multiple caregiving responsibilities, raising kids, caring for parents or grandparents, or balancing both. These roles are beautiful, but they can also feel overwhelming, and no one should have to navigate them alone.

Outside of my professional world, I’m married with two high-school–aged kids and two dogs who double as my daily therapy team. Music is another source of joy for me. I’m a longtime Dave Matthews Band fan, and every summer I look forward to filling my cup at their shows.

Whether you’re a parent navigating family life, have a teen who needs support, or are a fellow music lover, I’m excited to connect with you. I’m especially passionate about walking alongside children, teens, and parents, and I love the energy that comes from small group work. Those shared moments of insight, confidence, and connection are some of the most rewarding parts of this journey, and I look forward to creating more of them here at Axis Mundi.
